Software Test Engineer – Chennai

Work Mode: Hybrid
Experience: 4-7 yrs

Package – Upto 40 Lakhs per annum
You will be responsible for testing frontend and backend applications, driving continuous test automation, and supporting the CI/CD pipeline. You will collaborate closely with developers and business stakeholders to ensure quality, stability, and correctness of business-oriented software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
􀁸Perform functional, integration, and regression testing for frontend and backend applications
􀁸Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases in an Agile environment
􀁸Support and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines from a quality perspective
􀁸Work closely with software developers and business stakeholders, including BAT testing support
􀁸Ensure high standards of software quality, reliability, and documentation Required Skills & Experience
Must Have
􀁸4-7 years of testing experience across frontend and backend environments
􀁸Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript, SQL, and Shell scripting
􀁸Experience working on Linux OS
􀁸Hands-on experience with tools:
oJira, Jenkins
oGit / GitLab
oDocker, OpenShift
oSonarQube
oTest automation tools
􀁸Experience with Elastic / Kibana for monitoring

•Excellent English communication skills Good to Have
•Experience in Financial Data domains
•Exposure to Market Data and Reference Data
•Development / scripting experience with Python or Perl
•Full-stack testing experience
Test Automation & Certifications
•Experience with Selenium, Quality First Tool, or RadView WebLoad (strong plus)
•ISTQB certification preferred
Soft Skills & Agile Experience
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•Ability to work independently and collaborate within a Scrum team
•1–3 years of experience in Agile environments (SAFe familiarity is a plus)
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree or formal IT training with equivalent professional experience
